FEBS Letters, EarlyView.This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Behavior, Milk Yield, and Milk Composition of Machine-and Hand-Milked Murgese Mares [PDF]
Journal of Dairy Science, 2007 A 25-d trial was performed to assess the effects of machine and hand milking on behavior, and milk yield and composition of mares; the trial involved 8 Murgese mares. Milk yield was higher (7.69 vs. 4.91 kg) and milking time was shorter (1.80 vs. 5.40 min) in machine-milked than in hand-milked mares.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes
FEBS Letters, EarlyView.GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

Measurement of Liner Slips, Milking Time, and Milk Yield
Journal of Dairy Science, 1996 Liner slip or rapid air leakage past the mouthpiece of the milking machine liner is related to high rates of new cases of mastitis. A real time technique was developed to monitor the air flow into the milking machine cluster during liner slips as well as to monitor milking time and milk yield using a commercial type pipeline milking system.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.
