Hubungan Masa Kosong dengan Produktivitas pada Sapi Perah Friesian Holstein di Baturraden, Indonesia
Productivity of dairy cows not only expresed by milk yield, but also the reproductive performance. General speaking that the milk yield depends on reproductive performance and vice versa.

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Estimation of Genetic Parameters for Milk Production Rate and Its Stability in Holstein Population
Milk production rate (MPR) refers to the rate of milk secretion per hour (kg/h), calculated from the harvested milk yield and milking interval, and it is considered an appropriate measure to evaluate the production potential of cows.

Genetic relationship between weaning weight and milk yield in Nguni cattle
A study was conducted to estimate the genetic relationship between weaning weight and milk yield in Nguni cattle. Milk yield data (n=125) were collected from 116 Nguni cows from Mara Research Station located in Limpopo Province and Loskop South Farm ...

Milk Yield Variation Concurrent with Conception
Milk yield data from herds at the University of Illinois and the University of Wisconsin-Madison were used to characterize milk yield fluctuations concurrent with conception. Analyses were performed on 118 Illinois and 244 Wisconsin cows; milk yields were recorded for 15 d preceding confirmed conception.

Genetic evaluation of fertility using direct and correlated traits [PDF]
Poor fertility has become a major reason for involuntary culling of dairy cows in the United Kingdom. Calving interval (CI) and body condition score (BCS) are recorded, heritable, genetically correlated with each other, and could be used to extend the ...

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Effects of fat source and dietary sodium bicarbonate plus straw on the conjugated linoleic acid content of milk of dairy cows [PDF]
The effects of fat source (0.7 kg of fatty acids from extruded soybeans or palmitic acid), of sodium bicarbonate (0.3 kg) plus straw (1 kg) and the interaction of these treatments on the content of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) in the milk of dairy cows

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created
