The cell count of milk in relation to milk yield
Journal of Dairy Research, 1978SummaryQuarter-milk cell counts and milk yields from 1000 cows in the province of Noord-Brabant were obtained over a 12-month period. The data from 933 animals, mainly heifers, were used to examine statistically the relationship between cell counts, as a criterion for sub-clinical forms of mastitis, and milk yield.

Hourly milk yields were obtained for nine consecutive hours at d 14 of lactation from 92 crossbred (four breed) sows during their first and second lactations. Additionally, milk yields were obtained at d 14 and 20 of lactation from 175 mature Yorkshire X Landrace sows for nine consecutive hours.

Measurement of Milk Yield in Women
Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, 1984The measurement of milk yield in any suckling mammal is difficult, and studies on women pose additional restrictions because of the limitations on the nature of the techniques which can be used. The most commonly used method for determining milk yield in women is test weighing.

The influence of breed and parity on milk yield, and milk yield acceleration curves
Livestock Science, 2006Abstract This study had two aims. Firstly, we wanted to quantify the effects of breed and parity on lactation curves. A parametric model for describing milk yield for cows [Friggens, N., Emmans, G., Veerkamp, R., 1999. On the use of simple ratios between lactation curve coefficients to describe parity effects on milk production. Livest. Prod. Sci. 62,

Asses: milk yield and composition
2006Hypoallergenicity of ass's milk protein have been recently confirmed, allowing ass's milk to be considered a valid substitute to the available hypoallergenic infant formulas. Following the medical suggestion, this paper deals with the feasibility of ass's milk production and some of its essential traits, reviewing experimental data from studies carried

Effect of Illumination on Milk Yield
Dairy industry, 2023Illumination is an important variable that affects the milk yield. The present 90-day experiment took place on the premises of the Experimental Station Grigoryevskoe, Yaroslavl Region, Russia. The cows received feed and water that complied with veterinary and sanitary standards.

The Milk Marketing Board (MMB) specification for milk yield recording defines the acceptable limits of error for any recording equipment whether manual or automatic. This is that at any milking 95 per cent of the measurements must not deviate more than ± 5 per cent or 0.25 kg (whichever is the greater) from the true weight.

Effect of frequency of milking on yield, composition and processing quality of milk
Journal of Dairy Research, 2002The objective was to determine the effect of once-daily milking (ODM) and omitting one evening milking each week (13TWM), in late lactation on milk production, composition and processability. Seventy-two cows were assigned to three treatments (ODM, 13TWM and twice-daily milking [TDM]) from 4 October to 12 December.

Increasing milk yield and milk quality
