Using frequency maps to explore the distribution function of the Milky Way stellar halo
Resolved surveys of the Milky Way's stellar halo can obtain all 6 phase space coordinates of tens of thousands of individual stars, making it possible to compute their 3-dimensional orbits.

Dark matter annihilation in the halo of the Milky Way [PDF]
If the dark matter in the Universe is made of weakly self-interacting particles, they may self-annihilate and emit gamma-rays. We use high resolution numerical simulations to estimate directly the annihilation flux from the central regions of the Milky Way and from dark matter substructures in its halo.

Simulated Milky Way analogues: implications for dark matter direct searches [PDF]
We study the implications of galaxy formation on dark matter direct detection using high resolution hydrodynamic simulations of Milky Way-like galaxies simulated within the eagle and apostle projects.

Probing the Milky Way’s Dark Matter Halo for the 3.5 keV Line [PDF]
Abstract We present a comprehensive search for the 3.5 keV line using ∼51 Ms of archival Chandra observations peering through the Milky Way’s dark matter halo from across the entirety of the sky, gathered via the Chandra Source Catalog Release 2.0. We consider the data’s radial distribution, organizing observations into four data subsets

The Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) will induce a dynamical friction (DF) wake on infall to the Milky Way (MW). The MW’s stellar halo will respond to the gravity of the LMC and the dark matter (DM) wake, forming a stellar counterpart to the DM wake.

A first estimate of the Milky Way dark matter halo spin [PDF]
The spin, or normalized angular momentumλ, of dark matter halos in cosmological simulations follows a log normal distribution and has little correlation with galaxy observables such as stellar masses or sizes. There is currently no way to infer theλparameter of individual halos hosting observed galaxies.

Overview of the DESI Milky Way Survey
We describe the Milky Way Survey (MWS) that will be undertaken with the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) on the Mayall 4 m telescope at the Kitt Peak National Observatory.

Wormhole in the Milky Way galaxy with global monopole charge
Wormholes are tunnels or short-cuts in space-time, and their existence is very important for human civilization to express the vastness of space and time. So, it is necessary to analyze our own Milky Way galaxy if it can harbour any wormhole.

Dark matter annihilation radiation in hydrodynamic simulations of Milky Way haloes [PDF]
We obtain predictions for the properties of cold dark matter annihilation radiation using high resolution hydrodynamic zoom-in cosmological simulations of Milky Way-like galaxies (APOSTLE project) carried out as part of the "Evolution and Assembly of GaLaxies and their Environments" (EAGLE) programme. Galactic halos in the simulation have significantly
