Four‐port MIMO Vivaldi antenna for access points

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters
AbstractIn this article, a 4‐port multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) antenna array is presented, based on a Vivaldi design for nonplanar applications like access points above 6 GHz. The antenna is configured with four Vivaldi antennas arranged orthogonally, one to each other, to increase the electromagnetic isolation among elements.

Printed collinear two‐antenna element for WLAN access points in a MIMO system

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2006
AbstractA printed collinear two‐antenna element suitable for application in a wireless local area network (WLAN) access point in a multi‐input multi‐output (MIMO) system is presented. The printed element comprises one dipole antenna and one monopole antenna, both printed in a collinear configuration on a narrow FR4 substrate of width 12 mm and length ...

MIMO PCB‐integrated slot antenna for IEEE 802.11n WLAN access‐point applications

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2016
ABSTRACTA multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) slot antenna integrated with a printed circuit board (PCB) is proposed for access‐point (AP) applications. The antenna comprises two square slot radiators fed by mutually orthogonal 50‐Ω microstrip lines. Through an appropriate adjustment of the antenna geometry parameters, a sufficient −10 dB return loss

A compact printed MIMO antenna integrated into a 2.4 GHz WLAN access point applications

2013 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference Proceedings (APMC), 2013
A low-cost, printed single-plate two-antenna system suitable for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) applications operating at the 2.4 GHz WLAN bands is presented. It is best embedded inside the wireless access point (AP) from the size consideration.

On channel estimation and spectral efficiency for cell‐free massive MIMO with multi‐antenna access points considering spatially correlated channels

Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, 2022
AbstractChannel estimation (CE) and spectral efficiency (SE) are two processes that have a major influence on system performance, especially in a more practical channel scenario with spatially correlated Rayleigh fading. During this work, we address the uplink phase CE process and the SE for spatially correlated Rayleigh fading in a cell‐free (CF ...

Channel capacity enhancement by polarization and pattern of access point antenna in indoor MIMO systems

2008 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2008
Under the various conditions such as the positional changes of AP and UT, aspect ratio of the room size, and radiation pattern of UT, we evaluated the channel capacity which depends on AP antenna configuration in indoor MIMO systems by the ray-tracing simulation.

Evaluation of the antennas performance for three-element MIMO access points in a two-storey house

2015 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference (LAPC), 2015
In this paper, the antennas performances for the 5.2 GHz 802.11n network are compared by three different access points with 3 antenna configurations based on the simulated throughput derived from measurements in a two-storey house. The aim here is to outline a methodology for access point performance taking account client orientation, MIMO data streams

AMC-Loaded Wideband Base Station Antenna for Indoor Access Point in MIMO System

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2015
Wideband indoor base station antenna (operating at 5.2 /5.8 GHz WLAN and 5.5 GHz WiMAX), loaded with artificial magnetic conductor (AMC), is proposed for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system. The MIMO system has sixteen elements, and each element has a pair of folded dipoles, fed by a coupling E-shape microstrip feedline.
