Broadband MIMO antennas for MIMO radar systems
2013 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium (APSURSI), 2013Methods of reducing both electric and magnetic field coupling for enhancing the isolation in broadband MIMO antenna system is presented. The proposed MIMO antenna consists of two coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed self-complementary antennas (SCAs) and a U-shaped slot is etched on the ground plane.

Adaptive MIMO antenna selection
The Thrity-Seventh Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems & Computers, 2003, 2004The performance of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems can be improved by employing a larger number of antennas than actually used and selecting the optimal subset based on the channel state information. Existing antenna selection algorithms assume perfect channel knowledge and optimize criteria such as Shannon capacity or various bounds on ...

We investigate the performance of a DS/CDMA system with multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna processing in the downlink. We formulate the weights for the transmit and receive antennas by trying to obtain the optimum signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) in a frequency selective fading channel. The gain of our MIMO CDMA system with the

Characterization of a wideband adaptive-MIMO antenna
2007 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2007This paper explores the potential performance of the AdaM antenna in a set of realistic environments and over wideband operation based on experimental measurements of a prototype antenna. The results demonstrate that, when compared to a system using a traditional receive array, a 2times2 MIMO system using an AdaM receive antenna can achieve the same ...

MIMO antenna using modified planar inverted-F antennas
2014 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium (APSURSI), 2014A new Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) antenna using two modified planar inverted-F antennas (PIFA) is presented in this paper. Both modified PIFA antennas are identical with each having two shorting plates instead of one shorting plate and a slot on the top radiation plate for impedance matching to increase the bandwidth of the antennas.

Resized MIMO Antenna for 5G Mobile Antenna Applications
2021Resized MIMO antenna for 5G mobile antenna applications is established on a self-isolated property. The suggested antenna has been miniaturized to resize the antenna by using two vertical stubs and these two vertical stubs are inserted in isolated antenna.

Wideband and Multi-Band Antennas and Arrays, 2005
This paper considers the implementation of multiple element antenna arrays for MIMO wireless systems for use with multiple wireless standards operating at different frequencies. The capacity of such systems for a realistic channel model is considered, and it is shown that it is not generally worthwhile to reduce element spacing below 0.4 wavelengths ...

MIMO antenna design challenges
2009 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference, 2009This paper provides a brief introductions into the challenges involved when designing antenna for MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) systems on small terminals. The investigation is based on the fundamental parameter of cross-correlation of the antenna transfer functions.
