On Signal Models for MIMO Radar

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2012
A detailed model for the signal received by a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar from point scatterers is derived and compared with a simplified model frequently used in the literature. The simplified model assumes discretization of the scatterer delays and Dopplers and a particular way of handling the out-of-bin radar returns.

MIMO Radar Systems

2023
Unlike traditional phased-array radars that need successive scans to cover the entire field of view, MIMO radar transmits orthogonal waveforms from each antenna element simultaneously, allowing the illumination of all targets at once. Also, better detection performance and a high spatial resolution can be obtained using all the components extracted by ...

On the concept of MIMO radar

2010 IEEE Radar Conference, 2010
Two classes of MIMO radars are briefly considered. MIMO radars with colocated antennas and coded signals represent a new and prospective concept. MIMO Radars with widely separated antennas (“Statistical MIMO radars”) are a particular case of well-known Multisite (Multistatic) radar systems.

MIMO Radar for Automobiles

2019 IEEE International Symposium on Phased Array System & Technology (PAST), 2019
A commonly considered MIMO radar architecture for a car radar consists of a receive uniformly weighted full linear array of N elements with $\gamma/2$ spacing combined with a uniformly weighted transmit array of 2 elements which are spaced $\mathrm{N}\lambda/2$ apart.

Topics in MIMO radars

2016
Recently, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radars have received considerable attention due to their superior resolution. A MIMO radar system lends itself to a networked implementation, which is very desirable in both military and civilian applications.

Noise MIMO Radar

2011
The ability of MIMO radar to measure propagation delays from each transmitter to each receiver allows the concept of the sum co-array, reviewed, to be exploited. The sum co-array allows virtual elements to be synthesized and in some cases this can lead to performance advantages. The relationship of the ES matched filter to the sum co-array is discussed
