MIMO Radar: Target Localisation
2013The research presented in this thesis is concerned with multi-target localisation in MIMO radar. In particular, the aim is to develop novel algorithms which can improve the performance of target localisation. Firstly, a general spatiotemporal received signal model for MIMO radar is formulated.

In distributed sensing applications, the nodes of a sensor network cooperatively detect and localize targets of interest. In particular, active multiple-input multipleoutput (MIMO) radar (AMR) uses multiple transceivers to transmit separable signals and receive the scattered returns, while passive MIMO radar (PMR) uses multiple receivers to receive the

Recently, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radars have received considerable attention due to their superior resolution. A MIMO radar system lends itself to a networked implementation, which is very desirable in both military and civilian applications.

MIMO Radar Aperture Optimization
2011Abstract : In a multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) radar system, two or more transmitters emit independent waveforms, with the resulting reflections received by an array of receivers. Recently, MIMO radar has become a subject of great interest. In part, this interest is due to the potential for MIMO techniques to reduce radar weight and cost, while

Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output (MIMO) radars enhance performance by transmitting and receiving coded waveforms from multiple locations. To date, the theoretical literature on MIMO radar has focused largely on the use of ldquoorthogonal waveforms.rdquo Practical approaches to approximate orthogonality (e.g., via waveforms characterized by low cross ...

Multisite radar systems composed of MIMO radars
IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Magazine, 2014Multisite (multistatic, netted) radar systems (MSRSs) are known and have been investigated for many years (for a brief historical outline of MSRSs in Soviet Union, Russia, and the United States, as well as a list of main publications in the open world literature up to 1997, see [1]). It is well known that the MSRS has a series of advantages compared to
