Simulation Platform for MIMO Systems

16th International Conference on Electronics, Communications and Computers (CONIELECOMP'06), 2006
A computer simulator package for MIMO systems is presented. This simulator is highly configurable, easily extensible, and can generate exhaustive performance and complexity measurements. Examples of use and capabilities are shown. The simulator’s source code has been released to the research community under an open-source license.

Spatial mapping for MIMO systems

Manufacturing Engineer, 2005
This contribution proposes a new spatial mapping technique for bit-interleaved coded modulation (BICM) over multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels. It is an extension of conventional BICM whereby the serial-to-parallel converter is replaced with a more general mapping strategy.

On the capacity of cellular systems with MIMO

IEEE Communications Letters, 2002
It is shown that the capacity of a single, isolated, multiple transmit and receive antenna array link, with given interference, is maximized by transmitting an independent data stream from each antenna for a quasistatic and flat Rayleigh fading channel with independent fading coefficients for each path.

MIMO antenna system for LTE

2013 36th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP), 2013
The papers main goal is to present some simulation in designing a MIMO system for LTE in 800 MHz band for automotive industry. Section 2 contains some aspects about antennas used in the automotive industry and about MIMO systems. Section 3 refers to some characteristics of the Inverted F antenna (IF) and Planar Inverted F (PIF).

UE Calibration in MIMO Systems

2012 IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Fall), 2012
The paper describes an antenna path calibration method for (Multiple Input Multiple Output) MIMO systems. In a MIMO system, the RF components used at each transmit/receive antenna path, i.e., uplink versus downlink, do not exhibit similar phase and amplitude responses.

Chaotic Communications in MIMO Systems

2007
In wireless communications, chaotic communications have been a field of interest due to its low complexity in hardware implementation and low power consumption in chaotic signal generation. Among the modulation schemes using the chaotic signal, Differential Chaos Shift Keying (DCSK) is a robust noncoherent technique.

Broadband MIMO antennas for MIMO radar systems

2013 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium (APSURSI), 2013
Methods of reducing both electric and magnetic field coupling for enhancing the isolation in broadband MIMO antenna system is presented. The proposed MIMO antenna consists of two coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed self-complementary antennas (SCAs) and a U-shaped slot is etched on the ground plane.

Overlapped-MIMO Radar and MIMO Cellular System

2017
In this chapter, we explore a collocated overlapped multiple-input multiple-output (Overlapped-MIMO) radar waveform design, which is combined with an algorithm to share spectrum through null space projection (NSP) for the coexistence of radar and communications system.

ASTC-MIMO to ASTC-MIMO-OFDM System

2015
In the first part of this chapter, we propose to analyze the capacity of a MIMO-OFDM system using the ASTC codes in Rayleigh frequency selective-channels.
