Biophysical approaches for studying viral entry
Viruses infect all living organisms and have been responsible for major epidemics and pandemics. Their ongoing evolutionary battle with host defenses creates a constant need for improved tools to study viral behavior. Advancing methods to probe viral attachment, fusion, and genome release deepen our understanding of how infections begin and support the

Design of mine-used adaptive wide-voltage power supply with explosion-proof and intrinsic safety
For characteristics that power supplys in coal mine underground has multi input voltage grades and are susceptible to disturbed when big equipments are starting or stopping, the paper put forward a design scheme of adaptive wide-voltage power supply with

Research of power supply of coal mine rescue robot
According to special requirement of power system of rescue robot, three types of power supply were compared, which were lithium iron phosphate batteries, super capacitor and lithium iron phosphate batteries parallel connected super capacitor. It was found that the lithium iron phosphate battery had good properties as the robot's power.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

ANALYSIS OF INTERRUPTIONS IN THE EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY OF COAL-FIRED POWER PLANTS KUZBASS MINES
In the context of the complication of the technological process of coal mining, due to a significant increase in production capacity, the use of conveyor units for coal transportation, as well as the widespread use of control, control and communication tools based on computer technologies, the problem of improving the reliability of the mine's ...

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...
