All‐Flex Plasma Patch for In Vivo Delivery of Reactive Species

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A fully flexible plasma patch enables stable, conformal treatment on complex biological surfaces and enhances transdermal delivery of reactive species. This platform achieves significant tumor suppression in vivo and reveals coordinated regulation of calcium signaling, metabolism, and programmed cell death, providing a promising strategy for safe and ...

Mine Ventilation Implications of Segregated Intake and Neutral Air Beltways

open access: yes, 1996
SUMMARY Although it is believed that exemption to the ruling has been common, coal underground beltways in mine areas developed since 1978 in Queensland are required to have belt heading air segregated from other intake headings to improve the likelihood

The E3 Ligase RNF115 Aggravates Pathological Cardiac Hypertrophy via Ubiquitin‐Mediated Degradation of SPTBN1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In response to hypertrophic stimuli, increased c‑JUN phosphorylation upregulates RNF115, leading to SPTBN1 ubiquitination and degradation. which promotes F‑actin depolymerization and YAP activation, driving cardiac hypertrophy. The RNF115 inhibitor DTD effectively suppresses SPTBN1 ubiquitination and cardiac hypertrophy.

Analysis of a ventilation network in a multiple fans limestone mine

open access: yes, 2014
As mining progresses the total resistance of an excavation is increased, the mine characteristic curve becomes steeper, and the operating point moves up the fan curve, reducing the total air quantity and increasing the system pressure.

Micro‐Galvanic Coupling Programs the Therapeutic Zinc Ion Window to Reconfigure Immune Cascades for Pro‐Regenerative Bone Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study utilized alloy micro‐galvanic coupling design to regulate the release of essential elements, thereby programming immune responses and promoting regeneration. The sacrificial anodic process of Zn‐0.8Mg reduced Zn2+ release compared to the “large cathode‐small anode” coupling of Zn‐0.8Fe.

Solar‐Driven Bifunctional Adsorption‐Storage Films for Ultra‐Fast Dehumidification and Freshwater Supply in Low‐carbon Buildings

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bifunctional adsorption‐storage films enable autonomous indoor humidity regulation and freshwater harvesting, rapidly decreasing relative humidity from 90.7% to 21.6% within one hour while producing 1.1 kg·m−2·day−1 of water, offering a passive route towards energy‐efficient humidity control and sustainable indoor environments. ABSTRACT Indoor humidity

Safety of Sodium‐Ion Batteries: Evaluation and Perspective from Component Materials to Cells, Modules, and Packs

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This review provides a bottom‐up evaluation of sodium‐ion battery safety, linking material degradation mechanisms, cell engineering parameters, and module/pack assembly. It emphasizes that understanding intrinsic material stability and establishing coordinated engineering control across hierarchical levels are vital for preventing degradation coupling ...

Case Studies from Application of Numerical Simulation Software to Examining the Effects of Fires on Mine Ventilation Systems

open access: yes, 2004
The structure of a comprehensive research project into mine fires study applying the “Ventgraph” mine fire simulation software, preplanning of escape scenarios and general interaction with rescue responses is outlined. Some outcomes from a project funded
