Características estruturais, petrográficas e geoquímicas de enxame de diques máficos intrusivo em rochas metassedimentares do greenstone belt de Crixás, Goiás

open access: yesGeologia USP.

Hydrophysical Database for Brazilian Soils (HYBRAS) and Pedotransfer Functions for Water Retention

open access: yesVadose Zone Journal, Volume 17, Issue 1, Page 1-17, 2018., 2018
Core Ideas We propose a Hydrophysical Database for Brazilian Soils (HYBRAS). Data in HYBRAS comprise 445 soil profiles, with 1075 samples of Brazilian soils. We compared the accuracy of water retention estimates based on climate‐based PTFs. In general, the Brazilian PTFs performed better than the temperate models for HYBRAS.

Massive Submandibular Sialolith: Complete Radiographic Registration and Biochemical Analysis through X‐Ray Diffraction

open access: yesCase Reports in Surgery, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
Sialolithiasis is a pathologic condition that affects 60 million people per year, which is caused by the presence of calcified structures, named sialoliths, inside the salivary glands and their salivary ducts. Despite the large incidence of sialolithiasis, its etiology is still unknown.

Estimating recharge rates with baseflow separation in the Ibicuí Watershed (South America)

open access: yesRevista Águas Subterrâneas, 2016
This study aims to estimate the groundwater recharge rates in the Ibicuí Watershed, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, using baseflow separation method. The watershed’s main aquifer is the Guarani Aquifer System, in its confined areas (West) and outcrop (

Molecular Characterization of TP53 Gene in Human Populations Exposed to Low‐Dose Ionizing Radiation

open access: yesBioMed Research International, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
Ionizing radiation, such as that emitted by uranium, may cause mutations and consequently lead to neoplasia in human cells. The TP53 gene acts to maintain genomic integrity and constitutes an important biomarker of susceptibility. The present study investigated the main alterations observed in exons 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of the TP53 gene and adjacent ...

Lineações minerais em porfiroblastos

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Geociências, 2009
The study of mineral lineations has been of fundamental importance in the comprehension of tectonic evolution in orogenetic belts. However, in polydeformated areas, while the newest lineation’s orientation can be found, the oldest lineations tend to be obliterated by the newest deformation events.
