Sustainable, Renewable and Environmental-Friendly Insulation Systems for High Voltages Applications

open access: yesMolecules, 2020
With the inception of high voltage (HV), requisites on the insulating permanence of HV equipment is becoming increasingly crucial. Mineral/synthetic oil liquid insulation—together with solid insulation materials (paper, pressboard)—is the fundamental ...

Fiscal Policy Regimes in Resource‐Rich Economies

open access: yesJournal of Applied Econometrics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We analyse fiscal policy in resource‐rich economies using a novel Bayesian regime‐switching panel model. The identified regimes capture pro‐ or countercyclical fiscal behaviour by allowing regime‐specific shifts in the average fiscal stance, while the switches between the regimes have the interpretation of changes in fiscal policy.

GASSING OF THE ELECTRICAL INSULATING FLUIDS - A DETERMINANT FACTOR OF THE TRANSFORMERS SAFETY IN OPERATION

open access: yesJournal of Sustainable Energy, 2017
The influence on the quality of the electrical insulating fluids on the safety in operation of the transformers has been evaluated. After processing the comparative experimental data obtained by gas chromatography technique on 5 different sorts of ...

Fire resistance test of transformers filled with natural ester insulating liquid

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2018
Natural ester fluids, as a renewable, biodegradable liquid dielectric, its flash point is above 300°C, and the burning point exceeds 330°C, high flash point liquids known as ‘less flammable’ liquids.

Image Encoding With Blipped Gradients in an Echo Train

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose An MRI scanner was designed and built to encode k$$ k $$‐space points in the spin echoes occurring between 180∘$$ 18{0}^{\circ } $$ pulses in an echo train by using blipped B0$$ {B}_0 $$ gradient pulses applied just prior to those spin echoes.

Characteristics, properties and limitations of per‐ or polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) and fluoropolymers

open access: yesPolymer International, EarlyView.
An overview and categorization of man‐made per‐ or polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) including low‐molar‐mass and high‐molar‐mass fluorochemicals, and their international regulations is presented. Though certain PFASs are toxic, bioaccumulative and cross the human cellular membranes, others, such as fluoropolymers, are safe, reliable and involved in ...

Soybean oil mixed with methyl soyate to form a fluidity enhanced natural ester insulating oil

open access: yesIndustrial Crops and Products
As a potential alternative to mineral oils because of their outstanding environmental performance, natural ester insulating oils have poor oxidizing and flow properties. This defect has drawn widespread attention from scholars.
