Use of mineral magnetic concentration data as a particle size proxy: a case study using marine, estuarine and fluvial sediments in the Carmarthen Bay area, South Wales, U.K. [PDF]
Compositional (non-magnetic) data can correlate strongly with particle size, which deems it appropriate as a particle size proxy and, therefore, a reliable means of normalising analytical data for particle size effects.

The Database Solution to Particle-by-Particle Analysis of Mixed Mineral Dusts [PDF]
Abstract This work involves the development and application of a database for the morphological, crystallographic, and chemical characterization of amphibole particles that occur as accessory minerals in the former vermiculite mine in Libby, Montana. The data in the database were collected using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and

The present study investigates recycling of NiTi shape memory alloys via vacuum induction melting. An ingot was synthesized from elemental Ni and Ti and subjected to three subsequent remelting cycles. Remelting increases process durations and impurity levels and adversely affects microstructures and functional properties.
