AM Mini-LED Backlight Driving Circuit Using PWM Method With Power-Saving Mechanism
This paper proposes a mini-light-emitting diode (mini-LED) driving circuit that is driven by pulse width modulation (PWM) for the backlights of active-matrix (AM) liquid crystal displays (LCDs). The proposed circuit compensates for threshold voltage (VTH)

Thin and Low Power 2D-Backlight Module Development with White Mini-LEDs
AbstractIn general, blue LEDs have been used for mini‐LED 2D Backlights. However, we have selected to utilize white mini‐LEDs and applied our innovative design concept, named Multi‐Luminous Structure. This approach has resulted in lower power consumption and a thinner module with 1 LED per zone, making it suitable for mobile products.

High dynamic range liquid crystal displays with a mini-LED backlight
We analyze the performance of high dynamic range liquid crystal displays (LCDs) using a two-dimensional local dimming mini-LED backlight. The halo effect of such a HDR display system is investigated by both numerical simulation and human visual perception experiment.

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Peripheral lysosomes recruit PLEKHG3 to focal adhesions and restrain protrusion dynamics
Proximity‐dependent labeling at the LAMTOR complex revealed the Rho GEF PLEKHG3 as a lysosome‐proximal protein directing the study toward the influence of lysosome positioning on actin dynamics and cell motility. We show that PLEKHG3 colocalizes with lysosomes at focal adhesion sites and observe that forced peripheral dispersion of lysosomes hinders ...

Liver organoids: modelling complexity in homeostasis and disease
Studying liver in vitro has been challenging because simple 2D cell cultures fail to capture liver's cellular and architectural complexity. To bridge this gap, scientists increasingly use organoids, 3D liver models which better mimic liver composition and function. This review examines recent advances in liver organoid complexity and realism, discusses

Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) have numerous advantages. However, LEDs only offer a point light source. Therefore, transforming LEDs into planar light sources is a new objective in general lighting applications.

Intrapulmonary percussive ventilation via Mini-Trach II in critical care: a case report
Background Intrapulmonary percussive ventilation (IPV) facilitates the mobilization and clearance of bronchial secretions. Cricothyroidotomy using a Mini-Trach II device is a minimally invasive method used for secretion clearance. To our knowledge, there
