Numerical simulation of flow in triangular minichannel [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2019
Minichannel cooling systems show great potential for small scale electronics. In this paper we analytically and numerically investigate flow with evaporation in open triangular minichannels without upper gas flow. It models processes either in a groove or in an individual channel.

Turbulent Airflow and Thermal Analysis in a Circular Tube Heat Exchanger Fitted With Turbulence‐Inducing Vortex Generators (X‐V Baffles)

open access: yesModelling and Simulation in Engineering, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
The research presents an investigation into airflow configuration, thermal behavior, and convective heat transfer enhancement in a circular heat exchanger tube fitted with turbulence generators. These turbulence generators, referred to in this study as X‐V baffles (XVBs), were developed to generate swirling flow within the heat exchanger tube, which is

Desorption of aqueous salt solution in minichannels [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2015
This work is devoted the research for aqueous solution desorption of salt LiBr in minichannels with different wall thicknesses. There is a change in time of the physical properties of the solution and a change of equilibrium conditions and there is a third solid phase.

Performance of a Simplified Computational Fluid Dynamics Model for a Phase Change Material–Water Finned Heat Exchanger Under Different Orientations

open access: yesEnergy Storage, Volume 6, Issue 5, August 2024.
ABSTRACT The prevalent numerical models for simulating axially finned heat exchangers with phase change materials (PCMs) and water as the heat transfer fluid rely on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques, with a primary focus on phase change modeling.

Numerical modelling of temperature fields in the flow boiling liquid through a vertical minichannel with an enhanced heating surface

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
The paper presents results of heat transfer research on flow boiling in a rectangular minichannel positioned vertically, with an enhanced surface. One of the channel walls was made of thin foil powered by direct current. This foil is enhanced on the side

Intensification of Heat Transfer Processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
New challenges in efficient heat recuperation arise when integrating renewables, polygeneration and combined heat and power (CHP) units with traditional sources of heat in industry and the communal sector, as it is shown by Klemeš et al. (2010).

On the Design of Recuperator for Transcritical Cycle Adopting CO2‐Based Mixture as Working Fluid: A Focus on Transport Properties Prediction

open access: yesEnergy Technology, Volume 12, Issue 1, January 2024.
CO2 binary mixtures in transcritical power cycles offer efficiency improvements compared to sCO2 in hot‐environments, but no studies on transport properties are available for complex/asymmetric CO2 mixtures. This work proves that the friction theory model, calibrated on pure component data, has superior predictivity compared to traditional models.
