Soil phosphorus (P) availability is a critical factor affecting the productivity of Phyllostachys edulis (moso bamboo) forests. However, the mechanisms underlying the physiological and growth responses of moso bamboo to varying soil P conditions remain ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Smoothed particle hydrodynamics modelling for failure in metals [PDF]
It is generally regarded to be a difficult task to model multiple fractures leading to fragmentation in metals subjected to high strain rates using numerical methods.

The Length of Totally Positive Algebraic-Integers
For totally positive algebraic integers α of degree d(α), we study the set of values of R1(α)1/d(α), where R1(α) denotes the length of the minimal polynomial of α. We find the five smallest elements of this set, as well as a small limit point l.

Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Topological properties of asymptotic invariants and universal volume bounds
In this thesis, we prove that many asymptotic invariants of closed manifolds depend only on the image of the fundamental class under the classifying map of the universal covering.

Clavibacter is a phytopathogenic genus that causes severe diseases in economically important crops, yet the role of prophages in its evolution, pathogenicity, and adaptation remains poorly understood.

Development of human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 by yeast display
Human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 are generated by yeast display‐guided selection. These antibodies bind to soluble and cell‐surface forms of TARM1. Also, these antibodies exhibit agonistic activity in the NFAT‐GFP reporter assay, indicating that TARM1 signaling can be functionally modulated by antibodies and suggesting TARM1 as a potential ...

GENERICITY OF FILLING ELEMENTS
An element of a finitely generated non-Abelian free group F(X) is said to be filling if that element has positive translation length in every very small minimal isometric action of F(X) on an ℝ-tree. We give a proof that the set of filling elements of F(
