Minimally Invasive Aortic Valve Replacement is not just a metric of the incision, but rather a holistic approach to minimize the surgical trauma: the technique should reproduce the gold-standard conventional procedure in terms of safety, effectiveness and operative times through a small and different incision.

Constituent period in theoretization of minimalism in architecture [PDF]
The paper analyzes architectural discourse that is formed around the term minimalism, between 1976 and 1999, a period that I consider constitutive for theorization of the term. The presentation is directed by two hypotheses: I) minimalism in architecture

AbstractMcCuaig proved a generation theorem for braces, and used it as the principal induction tool to obtain a structural characterization of Pfaffian braces. A brace is minimal if deleting any edge results in a graph that is not a brace. From McCuaig's brace generation theorem, we derive our main theorem that may be viewed as an induction tool for ...

Singular Minimal Surfaces which are Minimal
In the present paper, we discuss the singular minimal surfaces in Euclidean $3-$space $\mathbb{R}^{3}$ which are minimal. Such a surface is nothing but a plane, a trivial outcome. However, a non-trivial outcome is obtained when we modify the usual condition of singular minimality by using a special semi-symmetric metric connection instead of the Levi ...

We introduce a new notion of tame geometry for structures admitting an abstract notion of balls. The notion is named b-minimality and is based on definable families of points and balls. We develop a dimension theory and prove a cell decomposition theorem for b-minimal structures.
