Planning of Cultural Heritage Network Based on the MCR Model and Circuit Theory in Shenyang City, China

open access: yesBuildings
This study uses Shenyang as a case to integrate multi-source dynamic data with spatial modeling. A comprehensive resistance surface was planned using 12 indicators across the natural, built, and socio-economic dimensions, with objective weighting via the

Construction of Land Ecological Security Pattern in Main Agricultural Production Areas

open access: yesShuitu baochi yanjiu, 2021
In order to ensure the safety of the ecosystem in the main grain production area in northeast China, especially the security of the agricultural ecosystem,Kedong County, the main agricultural production area in Heilongjiang Province, was used as the ...

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

Risk Aversion in Cumulative Prospect Theory [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper characterizes the conditions for risk aversion in cumulative prospect theory where risk aversion is defined in the strong sense (Rothshild Stiglitz 1970).

Risk Assessment of Non-Point Source Pollution Based on the Minimum Cumulative Resistance Model: A Case Study of Shenyang, China

open access: yesLand
Urban non-point source (NPS) pollution is an important risk factor that leads to the deterioration of urban water quality, affects human health, and destroys the ecological balance of the water environment. Reasonable risk prevention and control of urban

Pharmacological chromatin remodeling enhances response to estrogen therapy in ER+ breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Estrogen therapy elicits clinical benefit in ~ 30% of patients with endocrine‐resistant estrogen receptor (ER)‐positive breast cancer. Based on findings that ER transcriptional activation underlies response to estrogen therapy, we tested the effects of epigenetic dysregulation via pharmacological inhibition of histone deacetylases (HDACi).

Portfolio Selection with minimum transaction lots: an approach with dual expected utility [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we analyse the portfolio selectionproblem with minimum transactionlots in the context of non-expected utility theory. We assume that the decisionmaker ranks the alternatives by using a specific DualExpectedUtility.

PANoptosis in the pathogenesis of myelodysplastic syndromes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PANoptosis, a combination of three types of programmed cell death, is mediated by a large protein complex called a PANoptosome. In healthy bone marrow hematopoietic cells, PANoptosis is restricted by inhibitory signaling. In MDS, bone marrow cells become sensitive to the PANoptotic stimuli due to the aberrant inactivation of inhibitory signaling or ...

Partial FAK suppression promotes tumor growth, an effect reversed by macrophage p110δ PI3K inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Partial inhibition of focal adhesion kinase (FAK) can paradoxically promote tumor growth, rather than simply producing a weaker antitumor effect than that observed with strong FAK suppression. In breast cancer and melanoma models, targeting p110δ PI3K, particularly in macrophages, counteracted these tumor‐promoting effects, highlighting the importance ...
