Application of Nanofluids in Minimum Quantity Lubrication Grinding
Tribology Transactions, 2007This research project investigated the wheel wear and tribological characteristics in wet, dry and minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) grinding of cast iron. Water-based Al2O3 and diamond nanofluids were applied in MQL grinding process and the results were compared with those of pure water.

The Application and Research of Minimum Quantity Lubrication Machining
Advanced Materials Research, 2013As a green machining method, the minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) technology has been investigative by many researchers. Currently, the main directions of MQL research are the type of oil, droplet size and distribution, the form of chips and surface roughness, cutting temperature and tool wear.

Burr formation in short hole drilling with minimum quantity lubrication
Production Engineering, 2009Machining with minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) is state of the art. Previous investigations were, however, concerned with tool optimisation and the surface quality of workpieces as well as coating technology. By now the same or partly better machining results than in conventional cutting with flood lubrication can be achieved due to adjusted tool ...

Machining Mechanism of Minimum Quantity Lubrication Grinding
2020To facilitate the analysis of experimental theory, this chapter studied the machining mechanism related to the grinding of NMQL and the three mechanisms of sliding, ploughing, and cutting of the abrasive grinding process. A mathematical model of the micro-grinding force was established, and the micro-grinding force can be used to express the force of ...
