How Do Extreme Lake Water Temperatures in Poland Respond to Climate Change?
Lakes are vital components of the Earth’s hydrological cycle and are susceptible to the impacts of climate change. Understanding the changes in terms of minimum and maximum lake surface temperatures is crucial for assessing the effects of climate change ...

Prediction of Temperature Using SDSM Multiple Linear Models (Case Study: Hoor al-Azim and Miangaran Wetlands) [PDF]
Introduction: One of the consequences of the climate change in Khuzestan Province is thedrying up of a large part of the wetlands of this province, including Miangaran and Hoor al-Azim, which has caused dust storms in recent years.

Forecasting Minimum Temperatures [PDF]
Two causes for a coloured sun are discussed, namely refraction and absorption. The importance of integrating the refraction effects arising from different parts of the sun’s disk as light sources is emphasized. It is shown that by such integration of ring phenomena around the sun, many observed peculiarities may be explained.

Minimum maximum temperature gradient coil design [PDF]
Ohmic heating is a serious problem in gradient coil operation. A method is presented for redesigning cylindrical gradient coils to operate at minimum peak temperature, while maintaining field homogeneity and coil performance. To generate these minimaxT coil windings, an existing analytic method for simulating the spatial temperature distribution of ...

Total site targeting with stream specific minimum temperature difference [PDF]
The paper focuses on extending traditional Total Site Integration methodology to produce more meaningful utility and heat recovery targets for the process design. The traditional methodology leads to inadequate results due to inaccurate estimation of the

Vortices, shocks, and heating in the solar photosphere: effect of a magnetic field [PDF]
Aims: We study the differences between non-magnetic and magnetic regions in the flow and thermal structure of the upper solar photosphere. Methods: Radiative MHD simulations representing a quiet region and a plage region, respectively, which extend into ...
