Two‐Photon 3D Printing of Functional Microstructures Inside Living Cells
This study demonstrates 3D printing inside living cells by using two‐photon photo‐lithography. A bio‐compatible photoresist is injected into cells and selectively polymerized with a femtosecond laser, creating custom‐shaped intracellular structures with submicron resolution.

Microbial Community Structure and Litter Decomposition in Stratified Soils of a Long Term Reduced Tillage Experiment [PDF]
The aim of the present study was to examine decomposition of plant material (maize straw, green and rooibos tea) in stratified soils of the long-term tillage experiment, established in 1999 and shifted from conventional to organic farming system in 2015.

CQESTR Simulation of Management Practice Effects on Long-Term Soil Organic Carbon [PDF]
Management of soil organic matter (SOM) is important for soil productivity and responsible utilization of crop residues for additional uses. CQESTR, pronounced “sequester,” a contraction of “C sequestration” (meaning C storage), is a C balance model that

Infrared Colloidal Quantum Dot Edge Emitting Lasers Integrated on Silicon
In this work, the first monolithic integration of Pb‐chalcogenide CQDs in an edge‐emitting DFB laser cavity onto a Si/SiO2 substrate has been demonstrated. The optimizations of SiO2 layer thickness, engineering of the grating duty cycle, and implementing λ/4 phase shift resulted in the achievement of spectrally pure, single‐mode lasing at 1650 nm with ...
