Electric‐Current‐Induced Phase Transformation in Cu6Sn5 Below Its Equilibrium Transition Temperature
Electric current induces a monoclinic‐to‐hexagonal phase transformation in Cu6Sn5 at a measured bulk temperature of ∼120°C, below the equilibrium transition temperature. Ex situ synchrotron x‐ray diffraction, TEM, and matched thermal controls show that current stressing promotes the formation of a retained hexagonal η‐phase post‐stress state not ...

Fluoroacetonitrile‑Based Gel Polymer Electrolytes for Fast‑Charging Lithium Metal Batteries
A gel polymer electrolyte using fluoroacetonitrile (FAN) as the solvent and fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC) and LiNO3 as additives is proposed for fast‐charging lithium metal batteries. These additives are preferentially reduced on the lithium metal anode surface to form a stable SEI layer, effectively suppressing the reductive decomposition of FAN.

We investigate the geometry‐governed optoelectronic anisotropy arising from dielectric confinement in quasi‐1D γ‐GaS nanoribbons with intrinsically isotropic atomic structures. Dielectric mismatch between the nanoribbon and its surroundings leads to a general polarization‐dependent photoresponse during near‐field scattering.

To explore the impact of nanosizing on pesticide biointeractions, a 7‐nm (average) emamectin benzoate nanopesticide without nanocarriers or surfactants is fabricated via HOAc‐mediated disaggregation. Nanosizing enhances bioactivity against Megalurothrips usitatus and Meloidogyne enterolobii and improves plant penetration.

Palestinians, Israel and the Quartet: Pulling Back from the Brink [PDF]
Throughout years of uprising and Israeli military actions, siege of West Bank cities and President Arafat's de facto house arrest, it was hard to imagine the situation getting worse for Palestinians. It has.
