Classification Theorems in Minkowski 3-space [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
By generalizing the notion of pointwise 1-type Gauss map, the generalized 1-type Gauss map has been recently introduced. Without any assumption, we classified all possible ruled surfaces with generalized 1-type Gauss map in a 3-dimensional Minkowski space. In particular, null scrolls do not have the proper generalized 1-type Gauss map.

Flexible polyhedra in Minkowski 3-space [PDF]

open access: yesmanuscripta mathematica, 2003
The author considers flexibility of polyhedra in a Minkowski 3-space, i.e., in a linear space consisting of all ordered triples \((x_1,x_2, x_3)\) endowed with the scalar product \((x,y)=x_1y_1 +x_2y_2-x_3y_3\). He confirms the existence of (non-immersed) flexible polyhedra in such a space, and that any of them preserves the (generalized) volume and ...

Structure Functions of Pseudo Null Curves in Minkowski 3-Space

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
In this work, the embankment surfaces with pseudo null base curves are investigated in Minkowski 3-space. The representation formula of pseudo null curves is obtained via the defined structure functions and the k-type pseudo null helices are discussed ...

Involutes of Pseudo-Null Curves in Lorentz–Minkowski 3-Space

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
In this paper, we analyze involutes of pseudo-null curves in Lorentz–Minkowski 3-space. Pseudo-null curves are spacelike curves with null principal normals, and their involutes can be defined analogously as for the Euclidean curves, but they exhibit ...

Nullcone Fronts of Spacelike Framed Curves in Minkowski 3-Space

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
The investigation of objects in Minkowski space is of great significance, especially for those objects with mathematical and physical backgrounds. In this paper, we study nullcone fronts, which are formed by the light rays emitted from points on a ...

Umbilics of Surfaces in the Lorentz–Minkowski 3-Space

open access: yesResults in Mathematics, 2023
AbstractIn this paper, we prove several fundamental properties on umbilics of a space-like or time-like surface in the Lorentz–Minkowski space$${{\mathbb {L}}}^3$$L3. In particular, we show that the local behavior of the curvature line flows of the germ of a space-like surface in$${{\mathbb {L}}}^3$$L3is essentially the same as that of a surface in ...

SO(1,3) Yang-Mills solutions on Minkowski space via cosets

open access: yesSciPost Physics Proceedings, 2023
We present a novel family of Yang-Mills solutions, with gauge group SO(1,3), on Minkowski space that are geometrically distinguished into two classes, viz. interior and exterior of the lightcone. We achieve this by foliating the former with SO(1,3)/SO(3)

Waveguide Photoactuators: Materials, Fabrication, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Waveguide photoactuators convert guided light into mechanical motion. Their tethered‐flexible design enables minimally invasive surgery and confined‐space robotics. This review aims to guide materials selection, device design, and system integration, accelerating the transition of waveguide photoactuators from laboratory prototypes to versatile ...

Universal Entanglement and an Information‐Complete Quantum Theory

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
This Perspective summarize an informationcomplete quantum theory which describes a fully quantum world without any classical systems and concepts. Here spacetime/gravity, having to be a physical quantum system, universally entangles matter (matter fermions and their gauge fields) as an indivisible trinity, and encodes information‐complete physical ...
