50 Years of quantum chromodynamics
Quantum Chromodynamics, the theory of quarks and gluons, whose interactions can be described by a local SU(3) gauge symmetry with charges called “color quantum numbers”, is reviewed; the goal of this review is to provide advanced Ph.D.

Fermion dark matter in gauge-Higgs unification
We propose a Majorana fermion dark matter in the context of a simple gauge-Higgs Unification (GHU) scenario based on the gauge group SU(3)×U(1)′ in 5-dimensional Minkowski space with a compactification of the 5th dimension on S 1/Z 2 orbifold.

Simple proofs for Furstenberg sets over finite fields
Simple proofs for Furstenberg sets over finite fields, Discrete Analysis 2021:22, 16 pp. A _Kakeya set_ in $\mathbb R^2$ is a subset that contains a unit line segment in every direction.

Special Smarandache Curves in the Euclidean Space [PDF]
In this work, we introduce some special Smarandache curves in the Euclidean space. We study Frenet-Serret invariants of a special case.

The equivariant minkowski problem in minkowski space [PDF]
The classical Minkowski problem in Minkowski space asks, for a positive function $\phi$ on $\mathbb{H}^d$, for a convex set $K$ in Minkowski space with $C^2$ space-like boundary $S$, such that $\phi(\eta)^{-1}$ is the Gauss--Kronecker curvature at the ...

An Approach for Indoor Path Computation among Obstacles that Considers User Dimension
People often transport objects within indoor environments, who need enough space for the motion. In such cases, the accessibility of indoor spaces relies on the dimensions, which includes a person and her/his operated objects.

Waveguide Photoactuators: Materials, Fabrication, and Applications
Waveguide photoactuators convert guided light into mechanical motion. Their tethered‐flexible design enables minimally invasive surgery and confined‐space robotics. This review aims to guide materials selection, device design, and system integration, accelerating the transition of waveguide photoactuators from laboratory prototypes to versatile ...

Risk‐aware safe reinforcement learning for control of stochastic linear systems
Abstract This paper presents a risk‐aware safe reinforcement learning (RL) control design for stochastic discrete‐time linear systems. Rather than using a safety certifier to myopically intervene with the RL controller, a risk‐informed safe controller is also learned besides the RL controller, and the RL and safe controllers are combined together ...

I present and discuss two drafts of remarks prepared by the mathematician Hermann Minkowski (1864–1909). They were composed in December 1907 while preparing his paper on the “Basic Equations of Electromagnetic Processes in Moving Bodies” for publication in the Proceedings of the Göttingen Academy of Sciences.

ABSTRACT The leading‐order asymptotic behavior of the solution of the Cauchy initial‐value problem for the Benjamin–Ono equation in L2(R)$L^2(\mathbb {R})$ is obtained explicitly for generic rational initial data u0$u_0$. An explicit asymptotic wave profile uZD(t,x;ε)$u^\mathrm{ZD}(t,x;\epsilon)$ is given, in terms of the branches of the multivalued ...
