Sections and projections of the outer and inner regularizations of a convex body
Abstract We establish new geometric inequalities comparing the volumes of sections and projections of a convex body, whose barycenter or Santaló point is at the origin, with those of its inner and outer regularizations. We also provide functional extensions of these inequalities to the setting of log‐concave functions. Our approach relies on the recent

On the Lang–Trotter conjecture for Siegel modular forms
Abstract Let f$f$ be a genus‐two cuspidal Siegel eigenform. We prove an adelic open image theorem for the compatible system of Galois representations associated with f$f$, generalizing the results of Ribet and Momose for elliptic modular forms. Using this result, we investigate the distribution of the Hecke eigenvalues ap$a_p$ of f$f$, and obtain upper

Balashov on Special Relativity, Coexistence, and Temporal Parts [PDF]
Yuri Balashov has argued that endurantism (the view that material objects persist by being wholly present at each moment of their careers) is untenable in the context of Minkowski spacetime. Balashov’s argument runs through two main theses concerning the

Optical Pulling Force on Gold Mie Particles via Germanium and Aluminum‐Based Structures
This work demonstrates a novel approach to generate optical pulling force on gold Mie objects of two different shapes and studies the effects for different object sizes, incident angles, and the aluminum tetrahedra separation. Using rectangular germanium blocks combined with aluminum tetrahedra, optical pulling force (OPF) is achieved over a broad ...

Topology change and heterotic flux vacua
We investigate the interrelation between topology and Narain T-duality of heterotic flux vacua. We present evidence that all 5 and 4-dimensional Minkowski space heterotic flux backgrounds with 8 supercharges have a locus in the moduli space with a T-dual

Work Versus Force: Simultaneous Processes for Describing Interactions
ABSTRACT Achieving a unified description of interactions remains an open challenge in theoretical physics, which currently describes four fundamental forces. This situation may be viewed differently when interactions are formulated in terms of processes (work as actio) rather than forces (force as actio), not only at the macroscopic level but also at ...

Circle compactifications of Minkowski D solutions, flux vacua and solitonic branes
G-structure techniques are used to construct broad classes of circle compactifications of Mink D+1 solutions to Mink D embedded into type II supergravity for D = 1, . . . 5.

Replicability of Functional Brain Networks: A Study Through the Lens of Seven Resting‐State Networks
This study assesses the impact of preprocessing pipeline, 0.01–0.1 Hz band‐pass filtering, and brain parcellation on the replicability of functional connectivity estimates in seven resting‐state networks for multi‐site fMRI data. We find large effects for pipeline and parcellation on FC estimates, while band‐pass filtering has little effect.

Tense Logic in Einstein-Minkowski Space-time [PDF]
This paper argues that the Einstein-Minkowski space-time of special relativity provides an adequate model for classical tense logic, including rigorous definitions of tensed becoming and of the logical priority of proper time.
