Noncommutative scalar fields: Quantum symmetries and braided BV quantization [PDF]
It is strongly believed that the fully consistent quantum gravity theory should lead to a quantum spacetime. The continuous description of spacetime in terms of differential manifolds is no longer adequate at the quantum gravity energies.

Trirefringence and the M5-brane
The Hamiltonian formulation for nonlinear chiral 2-form electrodynamics in six-dimensional Minkowski spacetime is used to show that small-amplitude plane-wave perturbations of a generic uniform constant ‘magnetic’ background exhibit trirefringence: all ...

About Chirality in Minkowski Spacetime [PDF]
In this paper, we show that Lorentz boosts are direct isometries according to the recent mathematical definitions of direct and indirect isometries and of chirality, working for any metric space. Here, these definitions are extended to the Minkowski spacetime.

The κ-(A)dS noncommutative spacetime
The (3+1)-dimensional κ-(A)dS noncommutative spacetime is explicitly constructed by quantizing its semiclassical counterpart, which is the κ-(A)dS Poisson homogeneous space.

Probing time orientability of spacetime
In general relativity, cosmology and quantum field theory, spacetime is assumed to be an orientable manifold endowed with a Lorentz metric that makes it spatially and temporally orientable.

Noncommutative Spacetime Symmetries from Covariant Quantum Mechanics
In the last decades, noncommutative spacetimes and their deformed relativistic symmetries have usually been studied in the context of field theory, replacing the ordinary Minkowski background with an algebra of noncommutative coordinates.

Covariant generalized conserved charges of General Relativity
Motivated by the current research of generalized symmetries and the construction of conserved charges in pure Einstein gravity linearized over Minkowski spacetime in Cartesian coordinates, we investigate, from a purely classical point of view, the ...

Light cone in a quantum spacetime
Noncommutative spacetimes are a proposed effective description of the low-energy regime of Quantum Gravity. Defining the microcausality relations of a scalar quantum field theory on the κ-Minkowski noncommutative spacetime allows us to define for the ...

Embedding causal sets into Minkowski spacetime [PDF]
Abstract We present a new method for embedding a causal set into an interval of Minkowski spacetime. The method uses spacetime volumes for causally related elements to define causal set analogs of Minkowski inner products. These are used to construct matrices of inner products which are then factored using the singular value ...

Fermionic one-particle states in curved spacetimes
We show that a notion of one-particle state and the corresponding vacuum state exists in general curved backgrounds for spin 12 $$ \frac{1}{2} $$ fields.
