In the field of two‐electron oxygen reduction reaction, carbon‐based catalysts are widely adopted. Our statistical analysis connivingly reveals that the ratio of sp2 to sp3 hybridized carbon, rather than the widely believed oxygen functional groups, is the key structural property determining the catalytic performance.

PHA synthase (PhaC) is the key enzyme in the polymerization of a biodegradable plastic—polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA). Structures of full‐length PhaC reveal three key regions essential for substrate specificity and polymerization. Additionally, this study also highlights the critical role of N‐domain‐dependent dimerization in PhaC activity.

Facile N═N Bond Cleavage of Cis‐Azobenzene with Bis‐silylenes
The unexpectedly easy N═N bond scission of cis‐azobenzene using two bis‐silylenes with different spacers and distinct SiII···SiII distances is reported. While both bis‐silylenes enable C─H and N═N π‐bond activation of trans‐azobenzene, the cooperative disilicon(II)‐mediated activation of cis‐azobenzene leads to bis‐silamines (Si═N) and related novel ...

An Authentic Al=Si Double Bond
We report the first example of a bona fide Al=Si double bond stabilized in a four‐membered anionic AlSi3 cycle, which exhibits an unprecedentedly short Al−Si bond length of 2.283(1) Å and a high Wiberg bond index (WBI) of 1.31. We illustrate the typical double bond reactivity through the intramolecular activation of C−H bonds of the Tip group (Tip=2,4 ...

Data‐Driven Review on Aerogels and Polymeric Aerogels
Thoroughly data‐driven review on chemistry–properties–applications of aerogels is provided. Aerogel is a category of solid materials having homogeneous, highly porous nanostructures. Unique physicochemical properties of aerogels have attracted much attention in wide fields due to their potentials for energy/environmental issues in the 21st century ...

The first tungsten(VI) fluoride complexes coordinated with N‐heterocyclic carbenes and cyclic (alkyl)(amino) carbenes were synthesized and characterized. Reduction of these seven‐coordinated complexes afforded rare octahedral tungsten(V) fluoride complexes, a dinuclear fluoride‐bridged complex (cAACMe), or a seven‐coordinated (cAACMe) bis‐carbene ...
