Giant Planet Occurrence in the Stellar Mass-Metallicity Plane [PDF]
Correlations between stellar properties and the occurrence rate of exoplanets can be used to inform the target selection of future planet search efforts and provide valuable clues about the planet formation process. We analyze a sample of 1194 stars drawn from the California Planet Survey targets to determine the empirical functional form describing ...

3D Bimetallic Platinum‐Nickel Electrodes for Electro‐Oxidation of Glycerol at Ambient Conditions
This study presents a Ni foam electrode with Pt nanodendrites for glycerol oxidation, achieving 235 mA cm−2 at 0.92 V versus RHE and >92% C3 selectivity, including 64% lactic acid. The findings highlight the role of Ni in altering the activity and stability of Pt catalysts, advancing the development of low‐platinum electrodes for sustainable glycerol ...

Strong Nongravitational Accelerations and the Potential for Misidentification of Near-Earth Objects
Nongravitational accelerations in the absence of observed activity have recently been identified on near-Earth objects (NEOs), opening the question of the prevalence of anisotropic mass loss in the near-Earth environment.

Can Asteroid Belts Exist in the Luyten’s System?
The extra-solar planetary system Luyten is relatively close (12.3 light years) to our Sun. The Luyten’s red dwarf star is orbited by four planets, two of them Earth-like (in mass) and in 4:1 resonance.

Revisiting the Long-Period Transiting Planets from Kepler [PDF]
Currently, we have only limited means to probe the presence of planets at large orbital separations. Foreman-Mackey et al. searched for long-period transiting planets in the Kepler light curves using an automated pipeline. Here, we apply their pipeline, with minor modifications, to a larger sample and use updated stellar parameters from Gaia DR2.

Near Infrared Surface Properties of the Two Intrinsically Brightest Minor Planets (90377) Sedna and (90482) Orcus [PDF]
We present low resolution K band spectra taken at the Gemini 8 meter telescope of (90377) Sedna and (90482) Orcus (provisional designations 2003 VB12 and 2004 DW, respectively), currently the two minor planets with the greatest absolute magnitudes (i.e. the two most reflective minor planets).

Active Learning‐Driven Discovery of Sub‐2 Nm High‐Entropy Nanocatalysts for Alkaline Water Splitting
High‐entropy nanoparticles (HENPs) hold great promise for electrocatalysis, yet optimizing their compositions remains challenging. This study employs active learning and Bayesian Optimization to accelerate the discovery of octonary HENPs for hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions.

This study introduces a rapid, microwave‐assisted synthetic method for halide argyrodite solid‐state electrolytes Li6PS5X${\rm Li}_6 {\rm PS}_5X$ (X=$X =$ Cl−${\rm Cl}^-$, Br−${\rm Br}^-$, I−${\rm I}^-$). Microwave synthesis increases S2−${\rm S}^{2-}$/X−$X^-$ site disorder and rotational disorder of the isolated PS43−${{\mathrm{PS}}_{4}}^{3 ...
