Prenatal ultrasonic diagnosis and differential diagnosis of isolated right aortic arch with mirror-image branching

Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics, 2017
This study sought to evaluate the fetal echocardiography features of isolated right aortic arch (RAA) with mirror-image branching and to improve the rate and accuracy of prenatal diagnosis of this condition. We reviewed fetal echocardiograms from all cases of isolated RAA with mirror-image branching diagnosed at our institution between August 2012 and ...

Prenatal cardiac magnetic resonance imaging of right aortic arch with mirror image branching and retroesophageal left ductus arteriosus

The Journal of Maternal-Fetal & Neonatal Medicine, 2017
To evaluate the utility of fetal cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in diagnosing right aortic arch with mirror image branching and retroesophageal left ductus arteriosus (RLDA).This retrospective study included six infants diagnosed with right aortic arch with mirror image branching and RLDA postnatally by cardiac computed tomography (CT) that ...

Right Aortic Arch with Mirror-image Branching in Adults: Evaluation Using CT.

The Tokai journal of experimental and clinical medicine, 2018
We evaluated radiological findings and clinical significance of right aortic arch with mirror-image branching (RAMI) in adults using data from computed tomography (CT) examinations. We reviewed recorded reports and CT images obtained from university and branch hospitals for RAMI in adults.

Abstract 137: Right Cerebral Insufficiency Associated with Right Aortic Arch with Mirror-Image Branching: a Case Study

Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology, 2018
We report a case of right cerebral insufficiency in a 65-year-old woman with right aortic arch with mirror-image branching. The patient was found to have intermittent occlusion at the origin of the right common carotid artery between the aortic arch and the sternoclavicular joint.

[Right aortic arch with mirror image branching : a rare cause of dysphagia].

Revue medicale de Liege
We report the case of a 36-year-old female whose dysphagia revealed a congenital anomaly of the thoracic aorta: the right aortic arch with mirror image branching. This is a rare embryonic developmental anomaly where the aorta wraps around the right bronchus and the supra-aortic trunks emerge from the arch in the opposite order to normal.
