Identification of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungal Isolates using MiSeq Sequencing
The standardization of strain identification methods is essential for effectively managing the genetic resources of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi. Due to their highly polymorphic rRNA sequence and multinucleate nature, conventional strain identification using a single sequence of the rRNA region is often inadequate for these fungi.

Rethinking intensification: Biodiversity‐inclusive management sustains coconut yields
Coconut palm expansion in West Africa will shape rural livelihoods and ecosystems. Our findings show that intensive practices reduce beneficial soil fungi and increase pathogens, threatening long‐term productivity. Lower‐intensity management that retains ground vegetation can sustain or boost yields while improving soil health.

Demand for agricultural land has increased due to rising demand for food, potentially leading to expansion into previously untouched habitats, which threatens refugia of native plants. We aimed to provide insight into how variation in seeding ratio may impact soil bacterial communities in a pea‐canola intercropping system, potentially altering crop ...

GenomeTrakr WGS Protocol Collection and Workflow for MiSeq v2
Here we have created a collection of all the protocols used for WGS using the MiSeq, in order, from sample extraction to NCBI submission. This collection has three sections: Section 1: WGS Wet lab workflow for Illumina MiSeq Section 2: Dry lab workflow for sequence QC and NCBI submission - Direct Submission Section 3: Dry lab workflow for sequence ...

Incorporating environmental DNA metabarcoding for improved benthic biodiversity and habitat mapping
Seafloor imagery is commonly used to collect information about the distribution of benthic organisms in order to generate habitat and biodiversity maps. Recent advances in genomics (e.g., environmental DNA; eDNA) show potential to complement video surveys for habitat mapping, but there have been few examples testing this.

Optimization of HIV Sequencing Method Using Vela Sentosa Library on Miseq Ilumina Platform
Genotypic testing is often recommended to improve the management of patients infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). To help combat this major pandemic, next-generation sequencing (NGS) techniques are widely used to analyse resistance to ...

MiSeq raw sequences of the COI minibarcode from 24 positive controls and 58 negative controls
This ZIP file contains the FASTQ files of the paired-end reads (R1: reads 1; R2: reads 2) produced for each faecal pellet in triplicate using the MiSeq platform. The 1162 multiplexed PCR products were indexed using both forward and reverse indices.

Network analysis of functional genes among prokaryotes, and eukaryotes in natural and artificial rivers. Abstract Periphyton in aquatic ecosystems plays vital roles in the elemental cycle process and is vulnerable to anthropogenic interference. However, few studies have explored the elemental cycles of carbon (C), nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and ...
