Missional review of the matrifocal role of Makhadzi and of Bathsheba in their patriarchal context

open access: yesVerbum et Ecclesia
This article reviews the matrifocal role of Makhadzi and Bathsheba in the patriarchal context from a missional point of view. The role and influence of the king’s mother known as the queen mother in the Ancient Near East and the Makhadzi, the king’s aunt,

Faster and Durable: A Cell‐to‐System Validation of a Low‐Degradation Fast‐Charge Protocol for Li‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A physics‐based framework resolving graphite phase‐separation dynamics establishes a predictive, degradation‐aware fast‐charging methodology for commercial Li‐ion batteries. The resulting model‐informed protocol achieves 20%–80% state‐of‐charge in 14 min while matching the long‐term degradation of a commercial 25‐minute EV strategy.

Leadership from the Middle: Pathway to a Missional Community

open access: yes, 2019
This dissertation examines the role of mid-level leadership in shaping a group of Korean-American young adults into missional disciples within the Korean-American church. For this purpose, I start by surveying research methods.

Ultra‐Low Intensity Continuous Wave Laser Ablation Propulsion With Graphene‐Engineered Wood

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Graphene delignified wood converts continuous wave laser energy into thrust. Laser propulsion experiments in vacuum reveal the lowest laser ablation threshold intensities and the greatest density‐normalized specific impulse in literature. The results highlight graphene delignified wood as a potential efficient, sustainable, strong, and lightweight ...

It Takes a Missional Order to Raise a Leader: Order-ing Leadership Communities for Life Transformation and Missional Impact

open access: yes, 2009
The times in which we live in the West grow more complex from year to year. This presents a problem, as church and para-church leaders find themselves increasingly less prepared to meet the demands of missional leadership, that is, leadership that ...

Lunar‐Based Photothermal CO2 Reduction Strategy: Self‐Evolving Transient Active Interface and Band Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A self‐evolving Pd/Ov‐FeTiO3 photothermal catalyst, inspired by lunar soil, enables efficient extraterrestrial CO2 conversion. The formation of transient active interfaces and oxygen vacancies extends light absorption to the infrared range and optimizes electron transfer.

Church, mission and reconstruction: Being a church with integrity in reconstruction discourse in post-colonial Zimbabwe

open access: yesHTS Teologiese Studies/Theological Studies, 2018
The church in Africa, like its counterparts elsewhere in the world, is called to fulfil the mission of God as expressed in the call ‘Missio Dei’ and influentially remains with the integrity of the mission of Christ (Missio Christos), which is liberative ...
