EGR1 Nuclear Condensates Promote Renal Cyst Development in Polycystic Kidney Disease

open access: yesExploration, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is marked by aberrant cell proliferation driven by cAMP‐PKA and MAPK signaling pathways. EGR1, a transcription factor directly activated by the above two pathways, is critical in the over‐proliferation of tumor cells, which share similarities with cystic epithelial cells in ADPKD. Health Benefits of Polysaccharides in Red Algae: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesFood Frontiers, EarlyView.
Graphical abstract showing the health benefits of red algal polysaccharides. ABSTRACT Humans have long consumed red algae (especially by the Asian community), and their polysaccharide extracts (carrageenan, agar) are extensively used in the food industry as gel thickeners.

Rutaceae Zanthoxylum–Derived 7‐Demethylsuberosin Alleviates the Rheumatoid Arthritis Through Inhibiting the Maturation of Dendritic Cells via Targeting MAPK14 Functional Food‐Based 7‐Demethylsuberosin

open access: yesFood Frontiers, EarlyView.
This study revealed that 7‐demethylsuberosin exhibits immunosuppressive effects both in vivo and in vitro. Furthermore, it inhibits the phosphorylation of MAPK14 by targeting it, thereby modulating dendritic cell (DC) maturation and function and reducing inflammation across various in vivo models.
