This study reports four newly generated complete mitochondrial genomes of rabbitfishes and compares them with 10 published Siganidae mitogenomes. The results show conserved genome organization and base composition, with interspecific variation mainly in the control region, tRNA structures, and origin of light‐strand replication.

Both Cricetus cricetus and Phodopus sungorus mitochondrial genomes (mitogenomes) were sequenced and elaborated for the first time in the present study. Their mitogenomes contained 37 genes and showed typical characteristics of the vertebrate mitogenome.

Wolves in Bhutan Are Part of the Ancient Himalayan Wolf (Canis lupus chanco) Lineage
During Bhutan's nationwide snow leopard survey (2022–2023), putative snow leopard scat samples were collected, of which some were genetically identified as belonging to the wolf. Mitochondrial DNA analyses placed all Bhutanese sequences within the monophyletic Himalayan wolf clade and matched haplotypes previously reported from Nepal.

Complete analysis and phylogenetic analysis of Polygonatum sibiricum mitochondria
In this project, we studied the complete mitogenome of the liliaceae medicinal plant Polygonatum sibiricum. The genome is represented by a circular ring molecule with a length of 691,910 bp and a GC content of 46.33%.

Mitochondrial Genome Reduction and Accelerated Evolution in Planktonic Foraminiferans
The mitochondrial genomes of the eukaryotic lineage Retaria (Foraminifera and Radiolaria) show reductions in multiple gene categories, including complex I, transfer RNAs (tRNAs), ribosomal proteins, and ribosomal RNAs. In planktonic foraminifera, this reduction is even more pronounced, with the potential loss of atp and other genes.
