Abstract Genetic non‐invasive sampling (gNIS) is a critical tool for population genetics studies, supporting conservation efforts while imposing minimal impacts on wildlife. However, gNIS often presents variable levels of DNA degradation and non‐endogenous contamination, which can incur considerable processing costs. Furthermore, the use of restriction‐

The complete mitochondrial genome of Bombax ceiba
Bombax ceiba is a beautiful and deciduous tree with important economic and ecological values. Here, we sequenced the intact mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of B. ceiba on the PacBio sequencing platform (Pacific Biosciences, Menlo Park, CA).

Abstract The Harbour porpoise (Phocoena phocoena) is a highly mobile cetacean species primarily occurring in coastal and shelf waters across the Northern hemisphere. It inhabits heterogeneous seascapes broadly varying in salinity and temperature. Here, we produced 74 whole genomes at intermediate coverage to study Harbour porpoise's evolutionary ...

Using genomic data from 285 species across 19 planthopper families, we conducted the first phylogenomic study targeting global planthoppers and inferred their phylogeny with the highest resolution so far. We proposed taxonomic changes including the establishment of a new family Borysthenidae stat. rev. and a new superfamily Meenoploidea superfam.

Genomic investigations of successful invasions: the picture emerging from recent studies
ABSTRACT Invasion biology aims to identify traits and mechanisms that contribute to successful invasions, while also providing general insights into the mechanisms underlying population expansion and adaptation to rapid climate and habitat changes. Certain phenotypic attributes have been linked to successful invasions, and the role of genetics has been
