A Mitogenomic Phylogeny of Living Primates
Primates, the mammalian order including our own species, comprise 480 species in 78 genera. Thus, they represent the third largest of the 18 orders of eutherian mammals. Although recent phylogenetic studies on primates are increasingly built on molecular datasets, most of these studies have focused on taxonomic subgroups within the order.

Describing novel mitochondrial genomes of Antarctic amphipods
To date, only one mitogenome from an Antarctic amphipod has been published. Here, novel complete mitochondrial genomes (mitogenomes) of two morphospecies are assembled, namely, Charcotia amundseni and Eusirus giganteus.

Characterization of complete mitochondrial genomes of indigenous Mayans in Mexico
Background: The authors have previously published the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) sequences of two indigenous Mesoamerican populations, Mazahua (n = 25) and Zapotec (n = 88). Methods: This study determined the complete mitogenome sequences

The complete mitogenome of Diaporthe nobilis [PDF]
The complete mitogenome of Diaporthe nobilis NIE8444 (KCTC No. 56710) isolated from alpine conifer Abies nephrolepis is determined by the Illumina Hiseq4000 platform in this study. This mitogenome consists of 67,437 bp length with 31.45% G + C content. A total of 51 genes were predicted in this mitogenome: 21 protein-coding genes, 2 rRNAs and 28 tRNAs.

Comparative Analysis of Mitogenomes of Chironomus (Diptera: Chironomidae)
(1) Background: Chironomids are biological indicators, playing an important role in monitoring and assessing the changes in water ecosystems. Mitochondrial genomes have been widely applied as a molecular marker to analyze the taxonomy and phylogeny of ...

The mitogenome phylogeny of Adephaga (Coleoptera)
The beetle suborder Adephaga consists of several aquatic ('Hydradephaga') and terrestrial ('Geadephaga') families whose relationships remain poorly known. In particular, the position of Cicindelidae (tiger beetles) appears problematic, as recent studies have found them either within the Hydradephaga based on mitogenomes, or together with several ...

As one of the four primary evolutionary groups within myriapods, centipedes (Chilopoda) comprise approximately 3150 valid species. Recent molecular studies have begun to elucidate the phylogeny and time to divergence in Chilopoda; yet, identifying ...
