We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

Mixed and adaptive memory control charts for process monitoring [PDF]
Control charts are statistical tools widely used to monitor changes in the parameters of production processes. The most popular control charts in practice are Shewhart, cumulative sum (CUSUM) and exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA). The Shewhart

The present study investigates recycling of NiTi shape memory alloys via vacuum induction melting. An ingot was synthesized from elemental Ni and Ti and subjected to three subsequent remelting cycles. Remelting increases process durations and impurity levels and adversely affects microstructures and functional properties.

Composite Ti–6Al–4V–epoxy lattice structures are additively manufactured and epoxy infiltrated for cyclic loading. At low lattice volume fractions, hybridization produces synergistic gains in stiffness and energy dissipation. At higher volume fractions, synergy diminishes, although composites still exceed metallic lattices in specific energy ...

An Efficient Control Chart for Monitoring Unweighted Networks With Overlapping Communities
In recent years, detecting anomalies in networks has attracted much attention in the literature. Researchers have developed various statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor the communication level within the networks. It is quite common to

A Study on t Chart for Short-Run and Mixed Model Productions
At present a wide variety of mixed products with small batch sizes is one of the manufacturing modes in modern production. It is difficult to apply traditional Shewhart’s control charts efficiently and effectively in such environments.
