Tribological behaviour of copper oxide nanoparticle suspension [PDF]
This work presents and discusses the tribological behaviour of nanoparticle suspensions in a polyalphaolefin (PAO6). CuO nanoparticles were separately dispersed at 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0% wt. in PAO6 using an ultrasonic probe for 2 minutes.

Buoyancy-driven crack propagation: the limit of large fracture toughness [PDF]
We study steady vertical propagation of a crack filled with buoyant viscous fluid through an elastic solid with large effective fracture toughness. For a crack fed by a constant flux Q, a non-dimensional fracture toughness K=Kc/(3μQm3/2)1/4 describes the

Anti‐Slip Material‐Based Strategies and Approaches
This review highlights the principle mechanisms of slipping at the microscale, linking contact mechanics with a friction behavior model for surface interfaces. Main strategies to develop anti‐slip properties to the surfaces are discussed alongside standardized testing approaches.

Mixed lubrication after rewetting of blotted pleural mesothelium
Coefficient of kinetic friction (μ) of pleural mesothelium blotted with filter paper, and rewetted with Ringer solution markedly increases; this increase is removed if a sufficient amount of sialomucin or hyaluronan is added to Ringer (Bodega et al., 2012. Respiratory Physiology and Neurobiology 180, 34-39).
