Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

CO2/CH4 Separation by a Mixed Matrix Membrane of Polymethylpentyne/MIL-53 Particles [PDF]
The effect of Materials Institute Lavoisier-53 (MIL-53) particles on gas transport properties of polymethylpentyne (PMP) was investigated. MIL-53 was added to the polymer matrix with different loadings of 10, 20 and 30 wt%.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Mixed-Matrix Membranes for Gas Separation
Nanocomposite membranes, obtained by dispersing solid particles within a polymeric matrix, are referred to as mixed-matrix membranes (MMMs) and are potentially capable to exceed the trade-off restrictions between membrane permeability and selectivity, that is an intrinsic trait for polymeric membranes applied to gas separation.

Fillers play a critical role in the performance of mixed matrix membranes (MMMs). Microporous metal azolate frameworks (MAFs) are a subclass material of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). Due to the uncoordinated nitrogen of the organic ligands, MAF-7 (SOD-

Mixed matrix membranes : a new platform for enzymatic reactions [PDF]
Glucose oxidase (GOx) was covalently bound onto Eupergit® C particles embedded in mixed matrix hollow fiber membranes prepared using polyethylene vinyl alcohol (EVAL) as the polymeric macroporous matrix. The Eupergit ® C particles were chemically modified with ethylenediamine and activated with glutaraldehyde, ground and fractionated into 20-40 and <

Hybrid and Mixed Matrix Membranes for Separations from Fermentations [PDF]
Fermentations provide an alternative to fossil fuels for accessing a number of biofuel and chemical products from a variety of renewable and waste substrates. The recovery of these dilute fermentation products from the broth, however, can be incredibly energy intensive as a distillation process is generally involved and creates a barrier to ...
