Modelling the fundamental diagram of traffic flow mixed with connected vehicles based on the risk potential field

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems
The fundamental diagram (FD) of traffic flow can effectively characterize the macroscopic characteristics of traffic flow and provide a theoretical foundation for traffic planning and control.

Engineered ETS1‐Nanoconjugate Restores Immune Homeostasis through Dual Immune‐Vascular Modulation in Relapsing and Progressive Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The biomimetic nanoplatform IMNP (ETS1 pDNA/PBAE@ITP‐MM) undergoes targeted disassembly at inflammatory vascular sites to release the ETS1 plasmid (pETS1). This release initiates a cascade of effects that inhibit pathogenic pathways and support immune homeostasis. (Abbreviations: EndMT, endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition; EC, endothelial cell; TC, T

An extended intelligent driving model for autonomous and manually driven vehicles in a mixed traffic environment with consideration to roadside crossing

open access: yesInternational Journal of Transportation Science and Technology
While the advantages of Autonomous vehicles (AVs) and their impact on manually-driven vehicles (MVs) have been widely discussed in continuous flow conditions, their performance under mixed traffic, intermitted flow conditions has yet to be properly ...

Intersection Crossing in Mixed Traffic Flow Environment leveraging V2X information

open access: yes2019 IEEE International Conference on Connected Vehicles and Expo (ICCVE), 2019
The paper addresses the problem of safe crossing a non-signalized intersection in a mixed traffic scenario composed of both connected human-driven and autonomous vehicles. To solve this problem, we propose a control strategy that leverages information shared via V2X for extending the line-of-sight of the on-board ranging sensors.

Evaluation of the Dual Impact of Nanotechnologies on Health and Environment Through Alternative Bridging Models

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review explores how alternative invertebrate and small‐vertebrate models advance the evaluation of nanomaterials across medicine and environmental science. By bridging cellular and organismal levels, these models enable integrated assessment of toxicity, biodistribution, and therapeutic performance.

Will Automated Vehicles Negatively Impact Traffic Flow?

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation, 2017
With low-level vehicle automation already available, there is a necessity to estimate its effects on traffic flow, especially if these could be negative.

Operational characteristics of mixed traffic flow under bi-directional environment using cellular automaton

open access: yesJournal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering (English ed. Online), 2014
Mixed traffic flow composed of autos and non-autos widely exists in developing countries and areas. To investigate the operational characteristics of the mixed traffic flow consisting of vehicles in different types (large vehicles, cas, and bicycles), we

From RNA to DNA: How Cargo Identity Reprograms Lipid Nanoparticle Architecture and Function

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The evolution of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) spans from RNA‐LNPs, used in mRNA vaccines, to DNA‐LNPs, ideal for gene therapies. Emerging bionano architectures, decorated with DNA and plasma proteins, pave the way for advanced DNA‐based therapies that are more stable, targeted, and customizable.
