Mixed-Mode Calculations in Nuclear Physics
, 2002 The one-dimensional harmonic oscillator in a box problem is used to introduce the concept of a mixed-mode shell-model scheme. The method combines low-lying ``pure mode'' states of a system to achieve a better description in situations where complete calculations cannot be done and the dynamics is driven by a combination of modes.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.
