3D SR‐μXCT analysis for lithology detection: Application to Ryugu sample A0159

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, Volume 60, Issue 11, Page 2623-2654, November 2025.
Abstract Extraterrestrial breccia samples are formed through impact‐related processes that combine the fragments of distinct lithologies. As such, they are valuable indicators of the complex formation and evolution history of planetesimals in our solar system.

The MMX InfraRed Spectrometer (MIRS) for the spectral characterization of the Martian system

open access: yesProgress in Earth and Planetary Science
MIRS (MMX InfraRed Spectrometer) is a push-broom imaging spectrometer onboard of the JAXA sample return MMX mission. It has been built by the French laboratory LESIA, today LIRA (Laboratory for Instrumentation and Research in Astrophysics) of Paris ...

The Mars system revealed by the Martian Moons eXploration mission

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space, 2022
Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) plans a Phobos sample return mission (MMX: Martian Moons eXploration). In this study, we review the related works on the past climate of Mars, its evolution, and the present climate and weather to describe the ...

Motion control and vibration suppression of flexible lumped systems via sensorless LQR control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This work attempts to achieve motion control along with vibration suppression of flexible systems by developing a sensorless closed loop LQR controller. Vibration suppression is used as a performance index that has to be minimized so that motion control ...

Higher dimensional cluster combinatorics and representation theory

open access: yes, 2011
Higher Auslander algebras were introduced by Iyama generalizing classical concepts from representation theory of finite dimensional algebras. Recently these higher analogues of classical representation theory have been increasingly studied.

WIMPless Dark Matter and Meson Decays with Missing Energy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
WIMPless dark matter offers an attractive framework in which dark matter can be very light. We investigate the implications of such scenarios on invisible decays of bottomonium states for dark matter with a mass less than around $5 {\rm GeV}$.

Genetic Evidence Supporting a Role for Brain Region Volume and Functional Network Alterations in Major Depression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 37, October 6, 2025.
Genome‐wide analyses indicate that reduced ventral diencephalon and thalamus volumes, along with decreased functional connectivity within the triple network (DMN/CEN/SN), are uniquely associated with the risk of major depression (MD) onset, compared to other similar severe psychiatric disorders.

Discovering Uncharted Binding Pockets on E3 Ligases Leads to the Identification of FBW7 Allosteric Modulators

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 39, October 20, 2025.
A computational approach to identify and characterize ligandable binding pockets on E3 ligases is presented. As a validation case, the first low‐micromolar small moleculesthat bind to the FBW7 E3 ligase are identified and confirmed to bind at the intended site.

Impact of Controlled Magneto‐Structural Coupling in MnCoGe‐Based Compounds on the Design of Multifunctional Materials for Technological Advances

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 39, October 20, 2025.
In this work, the authors systematically investigate how Ni substitution regulates the magneto‐structural coupling and their functional consequences in the MnCoGe‐based compounds. Geometric nonlinear theory analysis reveals that Ni modification change of magneto‐structural transition can alleviate the lattice incompatibility, thereby broadening the ...
