Comment on “Mn Interstitial Diffusion in (Ga,Mn)As” [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2005
The magnetic and transport properties of (GaMn)As are known to be influenced by postgrowth annealing, and it is generally accepted that these modifications are due to outdiffusion of Mn interstitials. We show that the annealing-induced modifications are strongly accelerated if the treatment is carried out under As capping.

Mn-Rich Phosphate Cathodes for Na-Ion Batteries with Superior Rate Performance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
A Mn-based NASICON-type Na4VMn(PO4)3 cathode is considered to be one of the most promising substitutions for Na3V2(PO4)3 due to the huge abundance and appropriate redox potential from Mn.

Mn-Etched Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework-67 Nanostructures for Biomimetic Superoxide Anion Sensing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
It is a great challenge to detect superoxide anions (O2•–) with low level concentrations and short half-life in biological systems. Herein, mild and facile Mn etching for zeolitic imidazolate framework-67 (ZIF-67) was used to synthesize Mn/ZIF-67 with a ...

Spatial Structure of Mn-Mn Acceptor Pairs in GaAs [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2005
The local density of states of Mn-Mn pairs in GaAs is mapped with cross-sectional scanning tunneling microscopy and compared with theoretical calculations based on envelope-function and tight-binding models. These measurements and calculations show that the crosslike shape of the Mn-acceptor wavefunction in GaAs persists even at very short Mn-Mn ...

Measured lifetimes of metastable levels of Mn X, Mn XI, Mn XII, and Mn XIII ions [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 1999
An ion storage technique, based on the capture of metastable multiply charged ions from an external ion source into a Kingdon ion trap, has been used to measure the lifetimes of eight metastable levels of Mn ions with ${3s}^{2}{3p}^{k}$ configurations, $k=1--4.$ Although several lifetime calculations exist, some of the transition wavelengths have not ...

Improvement of Some Physical and Sensing Properties of Nanostructured Cadmium Oxide: Manganese Thin Films

open access: yesProceedings of the International Conference on Applied Innovations in IT
The spray pyrolysis technique (SPT) was employed for depositing thin films of Mn-doped CdO. The structural analysis through XRD confirms films polycrystallinity with a cubic phase. AFM analysis reveals adecline in particle size and surface roughness. The
