Mammalogy Notes ahora se publica con el Open Journal System (OJS)

open access: yesMammalogy Notes, 2019
En nuestro cumpleaños número cinco, y con el interés de que Mammalogy Notes se mantenga a la vanguardia de los sistemas de publicación digitales, hemos dado los pasos para adoptar la versión 3 del sistema editorial del Open Journal System (OJS).

Soft X-ray Absorption and Photoemission Studies of Ferromagnetic Mn-Implanted 3$C$-SiC

open access: yes, 2008
We have performed x-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS), x-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS), and resonant photoemission spectroscopy (RPES) measurements of Mn-implanted 3$C$-SiC (3$C$-SiC:Mn) and carbon-incorporated Mn$_{5}$Si$_{2}$ (Mn$_{5}$Si$_{2}$:C)

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Chiral Lagrangians for spin-12 and spin-32 doubly charmed baryons

open access: yesPhysical Review, 2023
The relativistic chiral Lagrangians for both spin-12 and spin-32 doubly charmed baryons are constructed up to the order O(p4). From O(p2) to O(p4), there are 19, 74, and 452 independent terms in the two-flavor case and 25, 112, and 864 independent terms in the three-flavor case. The chiral Lagrangians in the heavy diquark limit are also obtained.

Electronic structure of In$_{1-x}$Mn$_x$As studied by photoemission spectroscopy: Comparison with Ga$_{1-x}$Mn$_x$As

open access: yes, 2002
We have investigated the electronic structure of the $p$-type diluted magnetic semiconductor In$_{1-x}$Mn$_x$As by photoemission spectroscopy. The Mn 3$d$ partial density of states is found to be basically similar to that of Ga$_{1-x}$Mn$_x$As. However,

Dynamics of a Mn spin coupled to a single hole confined in a quantum dot [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Using the emission of the positively charged exciton as a probe, we analyze the dynamics of the optical pumping and the dynamics of the relaxation of a Mn spin exchange-coupled with a confined hole spin in a II-VI semiconductor quantum dot.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Different origin of the ferromagnetic order in (Ga,Mn)As and (Ga,Mn)N

open access: yes, 2004
The mechanism for the ferromagnetic order of (Ga,Mn)As and (Ga,Mn)N is extensively studied over a vast range of Mn concentrations. We calculate the electronic structures of these materials using density functional theory in both the local spin density ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated
