Interoperability for mobile agents by incarnation agents
Proceedings of the second international joint conference on Autonomous agents and multiagent systems, 2003Many different kinds of mobile agent platforms have been developed. However, migration to a different type of mobile agent platform is actually impossible. As a solution to this problem, we propose an interoperability concept using incarnation agents. This concept realizes logical mobility between different kinds of agent platforms.

Mobile Agents in Telecommunications [PDF]

Mobile agent middleware for mobile computing
Computer, 2001Mobile computing requires an advanced infrastructure that integrates suitable support protocols, mechanisms, and tools. This mobility middleware should dynamically reallocate and trace mobile users and terminals and permit communication and coordination of mobile entities.

A modal logic for mobile agents
ACM Transactions on Computational Logic, 2004Klaim is an experimental programming language that supports a programming paradigm where both processes and data can be moved across different computing environments. The language relies on the use of explicit localities. This paper presents a temporal logic for specifying properties of Klaim programs.

Itinerant Agents for Mobile Computing
IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials, 1995Describes a framework for itinerant agents that can be used to implement secure, remote applications in large, public networks such as the Internet or the IBM Global Network. Itinerant agents are programs, dispatched from a source computer, that roam among a set of networked servers until they accomplish their task.

Authentication for Mobile Agents
1998In mobile agent systems, program code together with some process state can autonomously migrate to new hosts. Despite its many practical benefits, mobile agent technology results in significant new security threats from malicious agents and hosts. In this paper, we propose a security architecture to achieve three goals: certification that a server has ...

Mobility Support with a Mobile Agent System
1999This paper describes the first results and the architectural design decisions of the AMASE project, which addresses the agent technology task of the ACTS third call. The main research interest of the project is to provide the user mobility as a benefit of a mobile agent system.
