A QoS-aware system for mobile cloud computing
2011 IEEE International Conference on Cloud Computing and Intelligence Systems, 2011With the rapid growth of mobile smart phone users, more and more mobile users are using mobile phones to access Internet services. Meanwhile, cloud computing is changing the landscape of Internet services, so as to affect the mobile services. Cloud computing is regarded as the future of mobile.

Mobility and QoS Support for a Commercial Mobile Grid in Akogrimo
2007 16th IST Mobile and Wireless Communications Summit, 2007Grid networks aim to build a future architecture for efficient resource sharing and distributed service provisioning in a multi-provider environment. However, mobility, QoS support, and commercial service provisioning -all essential issues in future networks -pose new challenges to grid networks, both from a technical and economic point of view ...

QoS framework for mobile heterogeneous networks
IEEE International Conference on Communications, 2003. ICC '03., 2004The ability to provide seamless and adaptive quality of service (QoS) in heterogeneous environment is the key to the success of the next generation wireless communication systems. There has been a considerable amount of QoS research going on recently but the main portion still occurred in the context of individual architecture components and much less ...

Reliability of mobile agent system in QoS mobile network
2012 Fourth International Conference on Communication Systems and Networks (COMSNETS 2012), 2012Recently mobile agents are being used in many wireless mobile network applications as it provides a uniform approach to many problems and is customizable for the user. However, reliability and availability issues are needed to be addressed while designing mobile agent based commercial applications in mobile networks.

Special session: QoS in mobile networking [PDF]
Wireless networks today often rely on an underlying infrastructure, such as cellular-like networks where there are specific access points which allow wireless users to connect to a fixed (wired) infrastructure. On the other hand, it is possible also to operate with a stand-alone wireless network, also called MANET (Mobile Ad hoc NETwork), where each ...

The success of emerging mobile services depends on the serviceability of the underlying wireless networks, expressed in terms of Quality of Service (QoS) provided by a network available to service user at a given geographical location and time. In general, this serviceability is a priori unknown.

QoS-Aware Hierarchical Mobility Management Using QoS NSLP
2009 5th International Conference on Wireless Communications, Networking and Mobile Computing, 2009It is necessary to provide seamless multimedia services to mobile users. However, due to the effects of host mobility, it is difficult to achieve seamless QoS guarantee. Several solutions have been proposed to couple QoS with mobility management. In this paper, a QoS-aware HMIPv6 solution using QoS NSLP is proposed.

Supporting QOS in Mobile Networks
2002Abstract : Research includes new "stateful" and "stateless" quality of service (QOS) architectures, services, and algorithms for the delivery of audio, video, and web data over mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). Major research contributions include the design, development, analysis, and evaluation of three new protocols that address the problem of MANET ...

QoS of mobile videophones in HSCSD networks
Proceedings Eight International Conference on Computer Communications and Networks (Cat. No.99EX370), 2003This paper is a contribution to studying the feasibility of multimedia applications over GSM HSCSD networks. We report simulation results of a mobile videophone application at bit rates ranging from 14.4 to 57.6 kbit/s. We focus on QoS of video data in both mobile-to-land and mobile-to-mobile H.324 connections.
