Learning to Coordinate Video Codec with Transport Protocol for Mobile Video Telephony
ACM/IEEE International Conference on Mobile Computing and Networking, 2019Despite the pervasive use of real-time video telephony services, the users' quality of experience (QoE) remains unsatisfactory, especially over the mobile Internet.

Servuction and Mobile Telephony
The Service Industries Journal, 1999Because mobile telephony develops oral communication between a service provider and its customers and between the different employees in the firm, irrespective of the physical location of the actors, it makes the role of oral interaction in servuction more dynamic. Considered an innovation which necessarily undergoes an iterative process of integration,

Context Information in Mobile Telephony
2003Most research in context-aware computing offers definitions of context that consist solely of measurable information. Using mobile telephony as an example of a computing area, we provide a set of context information relevant to the area drawn from a qualitative case study: identity, location, time and present activity.

Everyday practices with mobile video telephony
Proceedings of the SIGCHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, 2006The mobile phone allowed people to communicate when and where they wanted, dramatically changing how audio telephony was integrated into daily life. With video telephony services now available on everyday mobile phones, comparable arguments are being made that this will change how people relate to and use video telephony.

A mobile telephone system is defined as a communication network via radio which allows continuous mobility by dividing its coverage area into cells. Wireless communications, on the other hand, imply radio communications without necessarily requiring handover from one cell to another during an ongoing call (Nanda and Goodman 1992).

Mobile telephony and broadcasting: are they compatible for consumers
International Journal of Mobile Communications, 2005This paper explores the potential for audio and video services streamed to mobile handset from the perspective of consumer behaviour. The author argues that consumer choice rather than technology or supply side activities will determine the success of the services and that demand for mobile broadcasting services will come primarily from consumers who ...

Social functions of location in mobile telephony
Personal and Ubiquitous Computing, 2005Location appears to be one of the most important aspects of context in mobile communication. It is a complex piece of information involving several levels of detail. Location intertwines with other relevant aspects of context: the parties’ present activity, relative time and identities.
