Mass spectrometry based identification of AMP‐O‐Tris generated by Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Isolated Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10 generates the noncanonical ATP‐derived product AMP‐O‐Tris while in Tris‐containing buffer as identified via mass spectrometry, revealing relaxed nucleophile selectivity under isolated conditions. These findings suggest that multiprotein Csm complex assembly restricts Cas10 reactivity toward canonical cyclic ...

Assessment of Surveillance Capacity for Low Airspace and High Density Oriented UAT2 Mode ADS‑B Receiver Equipment

open access: yesNanjing Hangkong Hangtian Daxue Xuebao
Since future universal access transceiver 2 (UAT2) mode automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B) devices for low-altitude aircraft surveillance would face overlapping messages in high-traffic scenarios, this study combines probabilistic ...

Identifying transcription factors controlling the basal expression of human MRP4 highlights a substantial role for Sp1

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Disturbance observer based multiloop proportional feedback system for output voltage regulation in three phase AC to DC converters

open access: yesScientific Reports
This paper suggests a disturbance observer (DOB)-based offset-free output voltage regulator for the three-phase AC/DC power converters, taking the nonlinearity, parameter, and load uncertainties into account. The proposed multiloop controller is designed

Spatio-Temporal Travel Speed Estimation in Mixed Traffic Conditions: A Probe Vehicle-Based Approach With Autonomous Vehicle Sensor Integration

open access: yesIEEE Access
The increasing adoption of autonomous vehicles (AVs) presents new opportunities for traffic monitoring and spatiotemporal travel speed estimation. Traditional traffic detection methods, relying on fixed-point sensors, face inherent limitations, including

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Robust Rotation Estimation Using Adaptive ROI Radon Transformation for Sonar Images

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
Recent advances in forward-looking sonar (FLS) have enabled the acquisition of high-resolution acoustic images. However, the accuracy of image-based rotation estimation remains limited owing to speckle noise, perceptual ambiguity, and shadows.

Non-interacting electrons and the metal-insulator transition in 2D with correlated impurities

open access: yes, 2003
While standard scaling arguments show that a system of non-interacting electrons in two dimensions and in the presence of uncorrelated disorder is insulating, in this work we discuss the case where inter-impurity correlations are included.

Early‐life high‐fat diet exposure increases Achilles tendon stiffness and induces transcriptomic alterations

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.
