Feasibility of a ctDNA multigenic panel for non‐small‐cell lung cancer early detection and disease surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Plasma‐based detection of actionable mutations is a promising approach in lung cancer management. Analysis of ctDNA with a multigene NGS panel identified TP53, KRAS, and EGFR as the most frequently altered, with TP53 and KRAS in treatment‐naïve patients and TP53 and EGFR in previously treated patients.

Experimental and numerical study on vibration-based damage detection and localisation in laminated composite plates

open access: yesFracture and Structural Integrity
Damage detection in composite materials is crucial for ensuring the safety and reliability of engineering structures. Conventional methods often face challenges in accurately identifying damage in plate-like structures, particularly in scenarios ...

Characterizing epithelial‐mesenchymal transition‐linked heterogeneity in breast cancer circulating tumor cells at a single‐cell level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In over 50% of non‐metastatic breast cancer patients, circulating tumor cells (CTCs) along the whole epithelial‐mesenchymal transition spectrum are detected. Total CTC number and individual phenotypes relate to aggressive disease characteristics, including lymph node involvement and higher tumor proliferation. At the single‐cell level, mesenchymal CTCs

Expressiveness of the modal mu-calculus on monotone neighborhood structures

open access: yes, 2015
We characterize the expressive power of the modal mu-calculus on monotone neighborhood structures, in the style of the Janin-Walukiewicz theorem for the standard modal mu-calculus.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Vibration analysis of piping connected with shipboard equipment

open access: yesFrontiers in Mechanical Engineering
The piping system connected with the shipboard equipment may be subjected to excessive vibration due to harmonic base excitation produced by hydrodynamic force imposed on the propeller blades interacting with the hull and by other sources.
