Cross-Modality Person Re-Identification via Modality-Aware Collaborative Ensemble Learning
IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2020Visible thermal person re-identification (VT-ReID) is a challenging cross-modality pedestrian retrieval problem due to the large intra-class variations and modality discrepancy across different cameras. Existing VT-ReID methods mainly focus on learning cross-modality sharable feature representations by handling the modality-discrepancy in feature level.

Modal Identification Using SMIT
The objective of this paper is to introduce a Structural Modal Identification Toolsuite (SMIT) for MATLAB that has been recently developed to facilitate system identification of structural systems. SMIT is an integrated toolbox, supporting a user-friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI) for modal identification.Minwoo Chang +2 more

Sensor placement for modal identification
Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, 2012Abstract Planning of sensor placement can be done by using a finite element model before a modal test. In this paper, a method is proposed in order to select the most relevant degrees of freedom which should be monitored by sensors. It uses two criteria based on observability of mode shapes and on information shared by sensors.

Modal parameter identification using Z‐transforms
International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 1989AbstractA method for the time domain identification of modal parameters of a vibrating structure using Z‐transformation sequences is presented in this paper. This identification proceeds using the Z‐transfer function of a vibrating structure from which an auto‐regressive and moving‐average (ARMA) model of the vibrating structure is derived.

Multi-Modal Human Identification System
2005 Seventh IEEE Workshops on Applications of Computer Vision (WACV/MOTION'05) - Volume 1, 2005In this paper we describe our system for multi-source human identification. The system includes a collection of classifiers that classify feature streams derived from audio and video sources. We combine outputs of individual classifiers within our Approximate Bayesian combination framework.

Prompt-Based Modality Alignment for Effective Multi-Modal Object Re-Identification
IEEE Transactions on Image ProcessingA critical challenge for multi-modal Object Re-Identification (ReID) is the effective aggregation of complementary information to mitigate illumination issues. State-of-the-art methods typically employ complex and highly-coupled architectures, which unavoidably result in heavy computational costs.

Identification of Modal Parameters with Unknown Input
2003The techniques developed for structural identification are typically devoted to obtain a structural model on the base of information on the response and on the forcing action. In many situations, however, it can be necessary to refer only to the measured responses.
